The path to becoming a football coach is built on study, hands-on experience, and learning from the best professionals in the field. At Accademia dello Sport, we believe that training must be practical, engaging and aligned with the real demands of football. For this reason, we had the honour of hosting Mister Alberto Bollini , Head Coach of the Italian Under-19 National Team , a highly experienced coach at youth and professional level, for a day of high-level training dedicated to those who dream of pursuing a career as a football coach or sports director .
The Importance of Training: Studying to Become a Football Director
Becoming a coach or director in football doesn't just mean knowing tactics and formations. It's essential to develop managerial, relational and strategic skills to face the challenges of an ever-evolving industry. Through our football manager course , students at Accademia dello Sport can explore these aspects through theoretical and practical sessions with top-level professionals.
During the meeting with Mister Bollini, participants were able to discover what it truly means to lead a team, both from a technical and a human perspective. The coach shared anecdotes from his career, highlighting how important the role of a manager is — not only in handling the squad, but also in the individual growth of each player.
Practical Football: On-Field Teaching
One of the key highlights of the day was the practical football session , where Mister Bollini demonstrated training methodologies, tactical drills and strategies for improving player performance.
